We are often asked, “How did you come up with your company name?” We’ll give you two possible scenarios and you’re welcome to embrace either. We hope either explanation will provide a much needed smile—and most importantly—that you don’t forget the name.
1) In ancient cultures, the Silver Rhino was revered as a symbol of
relentless drive, wisdom, power and good fortune. Its appearance--either locally
or in a dream—signified future prosperity, overcoming adversity and blessed all
who viewed it with the promise of achievement and success.
2) Explanation number two involves a group of very creative executives, and a bottle or two of fine wine. We wanted a name that didn’t have systems, computers, or technology in it. We wanted a name that you could pour any meaning or no meaning into. We wanted a name that conveyed a strong image—especially for our security branding. We wanted a name not easily forgotten. Finally, we realized—that in the near future—we wouldn’t have the branding
resources like our great partners SAIC or CSC so we didn’t want to use just letters.
We hope you can smile at both explanations—and whether you like the name or not—you’ll call us the next time you need a problem solved or a project or program implemented.
